* Enhancement and development of
research activities about medicinal and aromatic plants in Iran. * Conservation and sustainable utilization of medicinal plants in Iran. * Contribute to improvement of the rural economy in Iran. Activities: 1- Study the biodiversity, conservation, sustainable use and development of medicinal plant resources. 2- Study the propagation, cultivation and domestication of valuable or threatened medicinal plant species. 3- Screening analyze and determine new chemical components of plant which having biological activities. 4- Explore and inventory ethno-medicinal plants and remedies of the ethnic minority groups in Iran in order to inherit, develop and apply this valuable knowledge for the prevention and cure of diseases. 5- Contribute to the enhancement of scientific capacity and management quality for protection of medicinal plant resources and their habitats for the staff members, collaborators and rural communities. 6- Organize or collaborate with scientists and other organizations in country or abroad to provide training on research methods for biodiversity, ethno-botany and conservation of medicinal plant resources. 7- Release research results and activities of the NGO, as publications and network. |
